TRAFFIC ACCIDENT REPORT APPLICATION

Please note changes in eligibility requirements for obtaining copies of Traffic Accident Reports.
City Council Bill No. 11-0631, is effective January 13, 2012.

The following persons are eligible for copies of reports:

  • Individuals involved in an accident
  • Automobile Insurance Companies
  • Lawyers representing individuals involved in an accident
  • Other Governmental Jurisdictions

In-person
To obtain a copy of a police report(s) you can either schedule an appointment to come in our office at: appointments.policereports@phila.gov or mail in your request to: Police Record Unit, City of Philadelphia, Department of Records, Room 170, City Hall, Philadelphia, PA 19107

Fee
For each report requested, payment of a  non-refundable fee of $25.00 is to be made by Cash, Debit Card, Credit Card, echeck- payable to: "City of Philadelphia".
